Holiday Food DriveUpdatedMonday November 30, 2020 byChristine DiNicola.
As the holiday season approaches, we begin to reflect on the many blessings we have. There are so many in our community that struggle for things, that so many of us take for granted. We will be partnered with the HOPE Center of Toms River in a food drive to help replenish their resources which become sparse as the holidays approach.
The HOPE Center is a non-profit organization based right here in Toms River whose mission is to provide support, resources, referrals, and food to clients as they work to overcome a current life crisis.
The Food Pantry is always in need of the following items (but not limited to):
Beans, Chili, Canned Fruit, Hash, Juice Boxes, Luncheon Meat, Peanut Butter, Potatoes (canned or dried), Cereal, Rice, canned tuna, shelf stable milk, and Stew.
Toilet paper, toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap, personal care products, and cleaning supplies
Donations in the form of gift cards to Aldi, Shoprite, Target, and Walmart
All donations need to be collected by Sunday, December 13th.
The first drop off day will be:
Sunday, November 29th at the Frazier Field House from 12-1pm.
The second drop off date will be:
Friday, December 4th 6-7pm
As a league, we believe we can significantly help within our community, for our neighbors, our friends, our coworkers...You never know who or how this will positively impact someone's life. We are grateful for anything you can donate.
“Giving is not just about making a donation. It is about making a difference.”
