TRELL Got a Little Brighter!

Our League's Township Liaison Mr. Walter Grenci went to town hall on our league's behalf! Walter met with township officials who agreed that our complex is in need of additional lighting for the safety and security of not only our complex and its buildings, but more importantly our players, parents, coaches, family and extended family members that watch them play as well as the public especially when a night game has ended. The new light already in place and working is located by our flagpoles providing illumination upon our flags, and also provides much needed illumination of the Spirit Store, Equipment Room, and our food concession areas. The light also provides sufficient lighting to the immediate pathways on the complex to Windsor Ave and in the opposite direction towards the complex exit by South Street. Walter was also successful in having the township contact JCP&L to install another light on the gravel parking lot directly across from the "All Weather-Frazier Field House".

As Walter addressed those needs he also stated that with the growth of our league and the many children and parents carrying baseball gear as well as the elderly that enjoy watching their grandchildren, etc play that the speed limit should be reduced from it's current 40 MPH to that of what the Township Police Department recommends. Let's remember that Route 37 also known as "Little League World Champions Boulevard" after our very own league's World Series win! The township agreed and will be conducting a traffic study to determine if the 40 MPH speed limit should be reduced. Not only was our Township Liaison successful in all these endeavors but Walter is also working for additional field lighting on currently unlit fields! Stay tuned and let's thank Walter for his time and effort in meeting with the township and its representatives! Let's also continue to wish him luck in his future plans for the betterment of our league!

Walter, thank you for your tireless efforts!
