Opening Day 2017 was a Success!

Updated Sunday April 2, 2017 by Jason Victor.

Thank you to everyone who helped make our 51st Opening Day a success.  Despite the sun hiding most of the morning and it being a little chilly, our players all got to march into the complex to celebrate the start of the 2017 season.  A special thank you goes out to Greg McLaughlin for organizing the event, Brian Bloodgood and Wawa for donating coffee, hot chocolate and snacks for the players and parents, Jerry Sinnott and the field and maintenance crew for getting Field 1 ready for the teams after all the rain, Amy Sabatino for opening the Spirit Store so we could all warm up on a cold morning, and Mike Pierson from MPPics for coming out and getting shots of our teams carrying their banners in the parade.  See a gallery of banner pictures courtesy of Mike here.

TRELL's Volunteers of the Year were Lori Koman and Jess Uttal!  Thank you both for everything you do for our league and the children that play in it!  We are lucky to have you both!

Thank you to the councilmen who attended the ceremony, the Paciulli family for judging the banner contest and their lifelong commitment to TRELL, Jim Kelly and his Challenger staff for 25 years of making sure every child has a chance to play Little League Baseball, Bill Castner, Bobby Sabatino, Alexandria Marino, Dennis Rome, Fred Ebanau, all the other volunteers who played a part in the ceremony, and all the teams and team moms for making such awesome banners and marching proudly with them through the cold!
